We are a small hobby breeder of rare and traditional breeds. After moving back to Northern Ireland and attempting to get started with a few chickens we were surprised at how difficult it was to source good, healthy birds. After visiting many breeders we were disappointed with both the quality and the conditions they were kept. So we decided to set up and sell small quantities of good quality birds kept in the right conditions.

All our birds are kept in large single breed pens with netted roofs to keep out wild birds. Our birds are all excellent quality and healthy, we only use medication when necessary as we don’t want to mask over bad stock. The parents of all the birds/eggs that we sell can be seen, as we only hatch/rear from our own stock . The photographs on this site are all of our own birds.

We recently took one pair of birds to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust show at Gosford (2009)  and place as Reserve Champion with our Ixworths. Birds from the same lines will be available in the spring.
